PASTORAL COUNCIL
As far as possible the laity ought to provide helpful
collaboration for every apostolic and missionary
undertaking sponsored by their local parish.

The St. Columba Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the Pastor. The Pastor consults with the Pastoral Council in order to discover the will of God for the community in which the members live and work, with the hope of developing a stronger sense of mission in the entire parish.
The Pastor consults with the Council in (1) establishing goals and objectives for the parish and priorities for their implementation, (2) coordinating all parish related activity that implement and maintain those goals and objectives, and (3) serving as a structure for continuing development among those who minister in the parish.
Members serve a three year term and are elected each March. The council meets monthly from September to May. The following are the committees of the Pastoral Council:
