| Ever wonder what our parish IONA Club is? Well, it’s
a social group for folks 50 and over. It’s named after IONA, a small
island off the coast of Scotland that St. Columba Christianized in the
sixth century. He built an abbey there & a rebuilt abbey stands there
today run by the Iona community - a worldwide group of clergy & laity
working for social justice. Our parish IONA group meets on the third
Tuesday of the month at Wiregrass Rehab for a luncheon and an afternoon of
social activities - speakers, games and socializing. So, next time you see
the IONA Club in our bulletin, we invite you to join us for a pleasant
afternoon with a group of enjoyable people. |
| Our Iona Club luncheon will be on Tuesday,
