Mission Statement

The SERRA Club of Dothan is a deanery wide, internationally organized club, whose primary purpose is the promotion and encouragement of priestly and religious vocations. These goals are achieved through daily prayer, but especially at a dedicated mass for vocations, celebrated by the club Chaplin on the third Saturday of each month. Members become educated in the concerns and needs of seminarians, priest and other religious, foster education in the faith, and promote socialization at the gathering following the monthly mass. The club also sponsors a non-dues paying "31 Club" in which members agree to pray for vocations on their dedicated day of the month. In addition, the club promotes the diocesan "Good Shepherd Club", distributing prayer cards to interested parishioners, and helps to promote and encourage participation in the "Elijah Cup" program.
The local club is deanery wide, so it can include membership from St. Columba-Dothan, St. John-Ozark, St. John-Enterprise, St. Martin-Troy, Holy Redeemer-Eufaula, and Christ the King-Andalusia.
