The Catholic Week

To further provide the people of the Archdiocese with more online content, The Archdiocese website has launched a Catholic Week section. To access the site, simply click the above icon or point your web browser to: www.mobilearchdiocese.org/catholicweek

The Archbishop celebrates the sacrament of Confirmation here at St. Columba every two years.  The last time was during the spring of 2006.  The Archbishop sets the date for Confirmation.

A person who has been baptized, celebrated first Eucharist, is in the 9th grade or older, and has been properly catechized may celebrate Confirmation. (Students will begin their Confirmation preparation in the 8th or 9th grade.)

Candidates for Confirmation must attend both our monthly Generations of Faith sessions and the separate Confirmation Preparation Program.

Adults wishing to be Confirmed should contact the pastor about the next available Confirmation opportunity.

If you would like more information about our Confirmation program, please contact Rosina Hendrickson in the Religious Education Office (792-3065, youthcat@graceba.net ).
