Life Nights create an environment that meets the spiritual, educational, social, and emotional needs of today's teens. Teens grow as a faith community, increasing in understanding of what it means to be young and Catholic in today's world. Through the Mass and Life Nights, high school teens learn more about their Catholic faith and grow to love the Sacraments, the Word, and the Mass. Youth 9th through 12th grade participated in Life Teen on Sunday evenings from 6:15 PM - 8:00 PM. The youth engage in prayer experiences, service opportunities, seasonal themes, and other activities to enrich their faith formation.

Upcoming Youth events
Youth are encouraged to participate in the Life Teen Mass at 5:00 PM on Sunday evenings. At this Mass, youth have the opportunity to serve as Greeters, Ushers, Readers, or in the Life Teen band. In addition, those students who have been confirmed may serve as Lectors. We want all our youth to feel a sense of belonging through our fellowship and hospitality. Regular attendance in the Life Teen program of the parish and the preparation program is mandatory to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. A record of attendance is kept. We encourage those teens who have been confirmed to continue being active in the Life Nights and special events. Watch the church calendar for dates.

Service Opportunities Every summer the youth go on a mission trip with the Catholic Heart WorkCamp organization. CHWC is a mission trip to cities in the US where 300 teens come together to do projects and service in communities that need help. Youth who are going into the eighth grade and up are eligible to attend. Youth who are going into 8th grade and up are encouraged to attend. High School Students have the opportunity to help with several of the activities planned for the Elementary Students through the year. In particular, their assistance at Vacation Bible School and Ignite is greatly appreciated.
Freshman Retreat
August 18-19 High School Youth are invited to participate in several retreat activities throughout the year. Retreats are an opportunity for students to build community and develop friendships with their peers. They are also times in which in-depth discussion and activities invite students into a deeper relationship with God |
