The Knights of Colombus is a charity based Catholic Fraternity for men.
We are dedicated to charity, and care of the widow and children of a departed brother. We are dedicated to God the church and Her Mother.
It was based upon an insurance program started by an oppressed group of Catholic gentlemen under the guidance of our founder's dream, Father Michael J. McGivney, on March 29th 1882. These mostly Irish people at that time were not able to use banks or organizations designed to help save money, and if the head of household were to pass away, the family had no way to support itself. Today it has grown to an International level, with councils in Europe, Poland,
Our Insurance Program is to date one of the best, if not the best, insurance programs and rates available today.
The St. Columba Council supports many church and community needs. The main support groups within the council are dedicated to: Church, Community, Council, Youth, Family and Pro Life.
