Faith Formation Classes
St. Columba supports parents in their role as the primary educators of their children by providing a religious education experience for children on Wednesday evenings. Students in K4/K5-5th grade participate in Faith Formation classes on Wednesday evenings from 6:00PM-7:30PM.
Our program is multi-cultural. Students are arranged in grade level classes (and times by gender). Students learn about Revelation, the Trinity, Jesus Christ, the Church, Morality, Sacraments, and the Kingdom of God.
1st, 3rd, & 4th grades will use We Believe from Sadlier Religion Pub.
2nd grade will be in sacramental classes on Wednesday's
5th grade will be taking a Bible course that is appropriate for their level.
In addition, these classes offer prayer experiences, service opportunities, seasonal themes, and other activities to enrich their faith formation.
Parents are provided with a list of Prayers to be Learned for each grade level and are entrusted with the responsibility to teach these prayers to their children each year.
During our Wednesday night classes we attend Eucharistic Adoration for children in the Church once a month. All children are invited to attend whether they are in the Wednesday night program or not.
These afternoon sessions will teach students about the season through prayer, Scripture, music, nad activities.

Students in 1st-5th grades will have the opportunity to attend our summer program Vacaton Bible School in the month of June, 2013. Please watch for details.
