Men of St. Columba

Won't you join us?

We have started off the New Year with a new book entitled, “Catholic Questions, Catholic Answers.” All men of St. Columba are invited to attend. You do not need to purchase the book to attend. We meet every Friday at 6:30am at Atlanta Bread Company. If you have any questions please contact Doug Martin at 886-2900 or go to our website at www.menofsaintcolumba.blogspot.com

Care Team

Would you be able to: Visit the home bound? Write a card to the isolated? Make a meal for the sick? Take the elderly to the doctor? Help a person with shopping? Then the Care Team could really use your help. For more information please call Ann Peters at 673-0591.

Mommy & Me

All Mommies with Children, birth to 3 years old are welcome to attend.

Burse Club

September 15th & 16th we will be looking for new members & renewing membership to the Burse Club. The Burse Club is used for the education of young men who are studying for the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Mobile. We currently have eighteen men at various points in their journey towards the priesthood. Burse Club ladies will be at all the Masses next weekend. All employed members of St. Columba are asked to join the Burse Club. It’s only $1.00 per month or twelve dollars per year. Please consider this most worthwhile charity. You may pay for the entire year, or place monthly contributions in the envelope provided in your packet.

SERRA Club

The SERRA Club  of Dothan is a deanery wide, internationally organized club, who's primary purpose is the promotion and encouragement of priestly and religious vocations.

Please keep the “Prayer for Vocations" in your prayers each day. We will use that prayer from the bulletin at Mass every Thursday for the coming year. Extra copies are available on the table at the back of the Church.

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

If you have experienced the loss of a loved one and wish to give or receive support call the church office at 792-5802 for information about our Grief Support Group.

We will meet Tuesday morning, November 27 at 10:00am in the Conference Room of the Education Building.

IONA

The IONA Group provides a social organization of Senior members (50 and over) of St. Columba. A group from the IONA club is going to Swamp Gravy in Colquitt, GA on Thursday, November 29th. The play is at 2:30pm (ET) and it’s “Cotton Hall Christmas”. The cost is $20.00, please call Bernadette Berry at 792-9662 to reserve a spot. You must pay her for your ticket by September 5th. When we know how many are going, we’ll make plans to carpool and have lunch at Colquitt before the play.
