WIREGRASS EMERGENCY PREGNANCY SERVICE (WEPS) is collecting new layette items and other baby needs during the month of January. There will be a crib in the Narthex for the entire month of January for the items. Please keep WEPS in mind as you do your shopping.

DIVINE MERCY WIREGRASS HOME SCHOOLERS is a recently formed group of all local area Catholic home schoolers. We meet at 10 a.m. the third Friday of each month in the Boucher Activity Center of St. Columba Church for play, prayer, a lesson/craft, and lunch. If you are interested or need more information, please call Amanda Martin, 464-2162 or Pam Barnhill, 445-1171 .

The Portier House , historic home of the first five bishops of Mobile, purchased by Bishop Michael Portier, First Bishop of Mobile, is fully restored and now open for historic tours. The Portier House is located at 307 Conti Street, Mobile, adjacent to the Cathedral, and is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no fee to visit the house, though donations are gladly accepted. The house also contains a small gift shop of religious and souvenir items. Group tours for parish youth, elders, school field trips, or others can be scheduled by calling Ms. Lynn Ellis or Mrs. Bunky Ralph at 251-441-7138. Combined tours of the Portier House and the Cathedral are available. The Portier House is also available for private reception rentals.
