children and yourself come to know Christ better while you walk with him on the
way to the cross. A child focused Stations of the Cross will be on Friday, March

HOLY WEEK
RETREAT Blessed Trinity Shrine
Retreat is offering a “Holy Week Retreat” on March 29-April 4, 2010. This
year’s Holy Week Retreat will simply be a time for joining our retreat house
community in a silent retreat with the option for spiritual direction and prayer
times in common. There will be daily Eucharist at the retreat house on Tuesday
and Wednesday, and we will join our parish (St. Joseph's) for the liturgies of
the Triduum (Thursday-Sunday). We welcome you to join us for all or a part of
this week. The retreat begins with supper at 6 p.m. (ET) on Monday, March 29,
and concludes Easter Sunday following brunch. For registration information, call
334-855-4474.
DANCE OF
THE CELTIC SPIRIT Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat is offering a retreat on March 12-14, 2010, entitled “Dance of the Celtic Spirit.” Come and celebrate the coming feast of St. Patrick with us as Carmel Boyle again invites us to pray with Celtic themes through song, reflection, and gentle movement. Led by the spirit of song, you will encounter the spirituality of the ancient Celts who were ever conscious of the immanence of God. The Dance of the Celtic Spirit will be in the company of the Trinity, the angels and the saints. Partners in the dance will include St. Brigid and St. Patrick, but the intimate companion - the music - is Christ. The presenter is Carmel Boyle, M.Min. Carmel Boyle is a singer and songwriter who gives retreats, workshops, and concerts throughout Ireland and the United States. The retreat begins with registration at 7 p.m. (ET), Friday, March 12, 2010, and concludes with dinner at noon on Sunday. For information call 334-855-4474.

STUDY THE BIBLE AT YOUR CONVENIENCE Do
you ever wish you could study the Bible, but can’t because of your schedule?
Several of us went to a diocesan workshop presented by Stephen Binz, A Catholic
biblical scholar. He is the author of the Threshold Bible Study, presently there
are a dozen books to choose from. Check it out at www.thresholdbiblestudy.com.
Brochures are available in the Narthex. You might do a bible study with a
friend, a family member, or a small group and you set the schedule! You could do
this study in person, e-mail, or social network of your choice. Give it some
thought and talk to someone who would like to do this with you. This series has
been recommended by many biblical teachers and the United States Catholic
Bishops.
